Weddin in Rome, Villa Aurelia, Gianicolo, Sonia & Charles

VILLA AURELIA, ROMA

Sonia and Charles’ welcome brunch at Casali del Pino, nestled in the Roman countryside just outside Rome, was a celebration of togetherness, designed to bring friends and family together in a relaxed and deeply personal setting. Surrounded by rolling fields, ancient trees, and the timeless beauty of the Italian countryside, guests spent the day enjoying a laid-back gathering filled with meaningful details and joyful moments. Woven baskets overflowing with fresh blooms and dried flower arrangements adorned the venue, creating a romantic and effortlessly rustic atmosphere that blended perfectly with the surrounding landscape. Sonia looked radiant in her light blue dress with elegant puff sleeves, embodying the spirit of the day: joyful, relaxed, and effortlessly chic. One of the highlights of the brunch was a flower crown station, where guests could have custom crowns made from dried flowers, creating both a memorable experience and a beautiful keepsake. The celebration felt like an elevated countryside picnic, with guests lounging on the grass, playing board games, enjoying friendly matches with rackets, and spending time getting to know one another before the wedding festivities. Adding a playful and unexpected twist to the day was a mechanical bull, which quickly became a crowd favorite and provided plenty of laughter and unforgettable memories. More than simply a pre-wedding event, the brunch perfectly reflected Sonia and Charles’ personalities: warm, welcoming, and centered around creating genuine connections. It was the ideal beginning to a wedding weekend filled with love, friendship, and celebration in one of Rome’s most charming countryside settings.

Wedding Brunch, Casali del Pino, Rome

Sonia and Charles chose to celebrate their wedding in one of Rome’s most enchanting settings, combining timeless elegance with meaningful Jewish traditions and breathtaking views over the Eternal City. The day began at the iconic Hotel Locarno, where both bride and groom prepared for the celebrations surrounded by their closest loved ones. Charles spent the morning with his brother and groomsmen, sharing quiet moments of anticipation before the ceremony, while Sonia got ready in a suite filled with excitement and emotion. Her unforgettable gown, adorned with delicate ostrich feathers, brought a sense of modern glamour and sophistication that perfectly matched the spirit of the day. Before the wedding ceremony, family and friends gathered for the traditional Ketubah signing, officiated by a female rabbi. This intimate and meaningful Jewish ritual provided a moment of reflection and connection, honoring centuries of tradition while celebrating the unique journey of the couple. The ceremony took place in the gardens of Villa Aurelia, one of Rome’s most spectacular historic villas. Surrounded by manicured terraces, cypress trees, and panoramic views stretching across the city’s domes and rooftops, Sonia and Charles exchanged vows in a setting that felt both grand and deeply personal.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a celebration thoughtfully designed to accommodate family traditions and cultural heritage. Kosher meals were specially prepared for a number of guests throughout both lunch and dinner, ensuring that everyone could fully participate in the festivities while respecting their dietary requirements. As the afternoon turned into evening, Villa Aurelia revealed its most magical atmosphere. The reception unfolded against the extraordinary backdrop of Rome, with every detail carefully curated by Lucrezia Planning. The event design blended elegance and contemporary style, while the floral creations by Alessandro Cambi transformed the villa’s historic spaces with refined arrangements that felt luxurious, organic, and perfectly suited to the setting. From the emotional Ketubah ceremony to the spectacular celebration overlooking Rome, Sonia and Charles created a wedding that beautifully balanced tradition and modernity. Every element reflected their desire to bring people together, honor their heritage, and celebrate their love in one of the most remarkable locations the city has to offer.
