The wedding of Elena and Giorgio took place in a highly unconventional setting, a private home transformed into a layered visual universe where taxidermy, collectible interiors, and a strongly scenographic atmosphere created a cinematic and immersive environment. Elena Pignata, bridal and ceremony wear designer and founder of the brand Ombradifoglia, approached her wedding as a total aesthetic project, resulting in an event that felt deeply personal and intentionally curated, where fashion, space, and identity merged into a single cohesive vision. The location, a private residence enriched with taxidermy elements, was elevated by unexpected interior details including immersive landscape wallpaper, antique objects, and a theatrical lighting design that transformed each room into a distinct stage-like environment. The presence of Museo Barbero, known for its eclectic cultural identity and its symbolic association with Aperol’s patron figure, added another layer to the narrative, reinforcing a playful yet sophisticated Italian aesthetic that runs through the entire project. The bride’s look became one of the central visual statements of the day, defined by an eclectic, layered and highly contemporary bridal style that reflects Elena’s own design philosophy. As a fashion designer, she translated her research into a silhouette that interacts with the environment rather than simply occupying it, turning the dress into an active part of the spatial narrative. From a photographic perspective, the wedding unfolded as an immersive editorial story, with each room offering a different scene, each lighting condition creating a new atmosphere, and every detail contributing to a strong and recognisable visual language that sits between documentary sensitivity and editorial construction.
